The Director of Directorate of Training and Education is responsible for the development, evaluation and performance analysis of occupational safety and health training and education programs; to educate and train Federal and State compliance officers and whistleblower investigators, State consultants, and Federal and State managers and supervisors; to educate and train employers and employees in the recognition, avoidance and prevention of unsafe and unhealthful working conditions; to provide for a program of consultation and advice to employers, employees and their representative organizations regarding effective means of preventing occupational injuries and illnesses; and to improve the skill and knowledge level of personnel engaged in work relating to the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (OSH Act).
